About

Hello and Welcome! To Amigas y Café!

My name is Analilia and I am a lifelong learner. I love listening to podcasts about life, finances, teaching and everything in between. I am a mother of 2 boys and have been married to my best friend for 17 years. Wow! That makes me sound old. My family and I live in San Diego.  I am excited to be launching myself into new roles as a blogger and podcaster.

Currently, I am a teacher and always participating in professional courses and professional developments to be a better teacher.  I have been in education for many years and in different roles, one of my favorite experiences was working in Early Childhood Education.  Learning about children’s development ages 0-5 and how children interact with the world around them.

As an educator working with children, I became very involved with the parents.  I found it extremely rewarding to have parents have an “aha” moment when they understand that their child is learning and watching from their choices.  Therefore, it has become a passion for me to work alongside the parent and child and encourage strategies that support learning at home.  Many of the parents, I have worked with remain involved beyond the time I work directly with them.

In addition, other roles in education included being a Presenter at different educational workshops and conferences.  These experiences have all fueled my commitment to share the vast knowledge I have gained.  The podcast was a result of me wanting to share beyond the parents in the classroom, or the workshop attendees.  Launching a podcast allows me to go beyond and reach anyone with an electronic device.  Then, I became a guest on two of my favorite ones.  The first podcasts I was a guest on was Super Mamas.  I learned a lot and this allowed me to reach out to the second podcast Charro Azteca.  These two experiences contributed to my risk-taking and launching Amigas y Café Podcast.
