As a parent there is no down time. As a mother of two boys, it feels that there are activities going on all the time. I took some time off of sports with the boys right now because things can get pretty busy during the fall/early part of winter. The start of the school year meant we are going into 5th grade and starting the last year of preschool. It is a busy time for the boys and as much as I want them to do activities. It is nice to slow down. We are getting adjusted to the homework in 5th grade. Many schools are opting out of homework and rather have the children work on projects or community activities. Unfortunately, my 5th grader is still working on lots of work pages and sometimes too many homework pages.
